KERRVILLE, Texas – After losing the first set, Schreiner University bounced back and won the next three sets to upset McMurry in an American Southwest Conference West Division volleyball match Saturday.
The 3-1 win (24-26, 25-14, 25-23, 25-18) moves Schreiner to 6-8 on the year and 3-3 in ASC West play; meanwhile, McMurry falls to 9-4 and 3-2. McMurry will look to end its current two-match losing streak on Thursday, Oct. 2, when they host Sul Ross State for another ASC West contest.
Despite the loss, McMurry junior middle blocker
Terah Brown finished with a match-high 11 kills. Brown also added nine digs and 5.5 total blocks (four solo blocks and three block assists). Junior setter
